The Database is structured by international organisations, meetings (aka series) and meeting editions (aka events). An international organisation can be responsible for one (International Organisation A) or more than one (International Organisation B) different meeting or series.
Over the years a series meeting consists of different events meeting editions held in the past and scheduled for the future (e.g. 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 etc.). This historical overview strongly contributes to the value of ICCA's Association Database as an information source.

However, some series meetings may not have an international organisation at all. In this case the past organising committee often decides where the next event will be held and who will be part of the next organising committee.
